I feel that since the saw has a lot of torque, it doesn't matter what the horsepower is. Fits Homelite model 240, 245 (After XE339), 25SL Chain saws. I heard you can tell by the serial number. I am unsure of the horsepower as I have no Homelite literature that spells out horsepower. It still runs great and I was cleaning it up and was wondering what year it is. This is the set up I suggest you use for an all-around type application.
